  • Access to other educational opportunities and events for either free or at a discounted rate.

  • Members may check out supplies and equipment to use at home.

  • Members will receive a 25% discount for all supplies purchased in the Rubble Art Store (this is a separate space from the maker space that provides discounted, used art supplies to the public).

  • Members will have access to to the space to host their own art-oriented workshops or collaborations in the space (must be coordinated with the leadership committee/calendar).

Leadership Committee

All members have an open invitation to be on the leadership committee and attend monthly meetings. Whether that means you attend a meeting once or every month, anyone is welcome. The leadership committee will: Talk about and implement ideas, events, workshops, and maintain the event calendar Financial decision-making Make sure administration is running smoothly and share in these responsibilities (i.e. taking turns running the social media page, answering email questions, processing art donations, etc.)  Develop processes and procedures to make sure we are living our values such as organizing transformative justice, anti-racism and anti-patriarchy trainings.  Evaluate how things are going. Receive feedback from members and guests and talk about any issues that are happening in the space.

Membership Investment

No one will ever be turned away from the space due to their inability to pay or put in volunteer labor.  With that said, this community space requires both financial and human power to exist and we trust you to thoughtfully consider what you are able to give to be a part of it.  We will never question what you decide to put in and are committed to accessibility.

Sliding Scale Membership

Volunteer

Members who would like to volunteer as part of their membership contribution need to work a minimum of 1 hour per month. Volunteer tasks include sorting and pricing donated supplies for the art store, cleaning, posting on social media, beautifying the maker space with your art, orienting new members, hosting community maker hours or open houses for the broader community and more. To volunteer, new members need to come to the space during community hours (hours hosted by an experienced member)to get instructions.

Sliding Scale Fee

Members who can contribute financially will pay a monthly fee between $5-50 (or more if you are able). We do need a certain amount of paying members to support paying rent and purchasing supplies.
